What better way to celebrate the debut of the Lotus Emira in Thailand than to stage an all-day party? More than 200 VIP guests, including the country’s top tier media, joined the team from local retail partner Wearnes Automotive to get up close and personal with the critically acclaimed two-seater for the first time.
The event was staged at the prestigious Nai Lert Park Heritage Home, now a popular Bangkok museum but previously a private house at the heart of the first western-style public park in Thailand.
The event included a motor show-style dynamic reveal of the Emira, a detailed presentation about the car and the chance for invited media to ask questions of the retail team.
“There is a small but very loyal following for Lotus in Thailand, and we believe an amazing new car like the Emira can only grow that,” said Nipit Ngamsopee, Manager, Marketing & Innovation, Wearnes Automotive. “There are less than 100 Lotus cars in Thailand [formerly known as Siam], but we have a very good relationship with the Siam Lotus Owners’ Club members and they enhanced our event by bringing along many of their vehicles.”
While the Emira was showcasing the future of Lotus, models including the Europa, Elite, Excel, Esprit, Elise and Exige were helping to tell the story of its innovative past.
Nipit added: “We’ve had a hugely positive response to the Emira and great feedback from the whole event. It has done wonders for brand awareness in Thailand.”
