Lotus receives all U.S. Regulatory Approvals to begin customer deliveries of its highly anticipated Emira V6 First Edition
Plymouth, MI, USA – March 14, 2024 Lotus has announced it has received full certification for its Emira V6 First Edition manual sportscar, allowing it to begin customer deliveries in region.Emira is a true sports car that builds on the legacy of past Lotus icons including Elise, Exige and Evora. The mid-engine premium sports car is the last internal combustion engine vehicle from Lotus, and perfectly embodies what customers expect from the brand – striking design, dynamic performance, best-in-class ride and handling, advanced aerodynamics and an unrivalled experienced designed for the drivers.
Everything about the car is made for driving enthusiasts. Emira offers a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine, 400 horsepower, six-speed manual gearbox with a visible gearchange mechanism and hydraulic power-assisted steering. It is perfect for day-to-day driving starting from $105,400.
Emira was recently named Car of the Year by Throttle House and won Best Performance Car at the UK Car of the Year Awards. The company has seen high demand for the car, with a strong orderbook globally.

The US is a key market for Lotus, where the company is continuing to scale the brand in 2024. Orders for its first electric hyper-SUV, Eletre, will open in Spring, with customer deliveries expected in Q3 2024. Eletre has also received high praise for its performance, design, and technology, having won SUV of the Year at the GQ Car of the Year Awards 2023, and Reader Award at the What Car? Electric Car Awards 2022.
